Summer Intern Positions

The Waterville Sewerage District is hiring up to four summer interns.

 

Job Description:

The summer interns assist the District with maintaining, sustaining, and upgrading their sanitary and storm drainage systems. The interns work under the direct supervision of an experienced crew member who knows what equipment they are authorized to use and ensures they comply with required Safety standards. Summer interns will perform general labor functions to include:

          -support of construction jobsites (above ground only - activities may include transporting materials, mixing concrete, establishing traffic control)

          -general maintenance activities

          -support of GIS collection efforts

          -support of CCTV pipe inspections

          -support of Acoustic Sensor pipe inspections

          -yard work (mowing, raking, mulch)

         -support the catch basin cleaning crew (above ground)

Additional Details:

         - Interns are paid $17.00 per hour

         -40 hour work weeks

         -Paid State Holidays

         -Hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday – Friday)

         -Interns receive a new pair of steel toe boots and work shirts

        -The positions will be open until filled

The District has enjoyed a long history of employing interns and our interns have fun working with the District’s permanent crew, learn many new skills, and feedback from former interns indicates they enjoyed the experience.
